Advincula provided a great assist for 10 men Peru when they lost 1-2 to Chile yesterday. Looks good to me.

I highly doubt he will ever be asked to cover at CB again, we had an injury crises at CB and a manager that pretty much refused to use the youth. we now have burke, henry and even oxford as cover at cb, plus it seems like bili is looking for another senior cb too.

whilst I agree somewhat I also think that JOB is fine for cover for this season,

oh come on, we had our fun with him lets now move on- he was poor in every match he played in, what six or so games last year and he looked a season too late for each game.
he doesnt get up and down, his centre back skills are laughable
Move on and keep o a youngster on standby

whilst I agree somewhat I also think that JOB is fine for cover for this season, he is a specialist fullback, he has played the majority of his career at RB, only covering LB when we needed him to. As for Jenkinson, we obviously would like to buy him, but Arsenal don't want to sell this summer, so we take him on loan again and hope to push through a deal in a year's time, if not then no doubt we will move on but he is a very good fullback and i think we would be mad not to take him again and try to do a deal next summer. As mentioned we are also being linked with Advincula.

That's my point. JOB has been fairly decent as all round cover when called upon. However, I don't see him as a "specialist" full back but more as make-do cover for that position
If we're to progress we need better. In this coming season we could be preparing a young RB to make that position his own
We have been "making-do" with players to put in at LB & RB for far too long
LB looks to have been eventually sorted now but we need a permanent solution at RB

I can't believe there isn't a decent young RB out there somewhere that we can sign on a permanent deal (as we did with Cresswell at LB)
Even if we get Jenkinson on another season long loan we need cover at RB if he gets injured
We could & should be bringing along our own RB for if/when Jenkinson leaves after another season
In fact, we could do with another RB even if Jenkinson signed on a permanent tomorrow

Mentioned on the transfer thread a few days back, 90% done, Carl has been on holiday and a friend of mine was with him and knows him reasonably well. Apparently was discussing the deal Sunday on the beach! Has turned down the other approaches. .
